Volunteerism is the act of offering one’s invaluable time and skill, to a cause of some description, often related to community and socially conscientious pursuits. The volunteer, by their own free will, chooses to participate in something that transcends their own vested interests; however, the positive feedback experienced (from a shift at kinfolk for example!) serves to reinforce how good it is for the mind and soul!
